Currently, Chris is producing Travis Mathews’ DISCREET which will have its World Premiere at the 67th Berlinale in February 2017, as well as Noël Wells feature directorial debut, MR. ROOSEVELT, which will premiere at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival in March. DAMSEL, the newest film from the Zellner Brothers, is currently in post-production.
In 2015, Chris received the Piaget Producers Award from the Independent Spirit Awards, honoring a producer who demonstrates the creativity, tenacity, and vision required to produce quality, independent films.
Most recently, Chris produced KUMIKO, THE TREASURE HUNTER which was released in more than 80 countries and was nominated for Independent Spirit Awards for both Director (David Zellner) and Actress (Rinko Kikuchi). In 2014, Chris produced Matt Muir’s THANK YOU A LOT, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and was released by Gravitas Ventures. In 2009, he produced John Bryant’s THE OVERBROOK BROTHERS, which premiered in the narrative competition at SXSW and was acquired by IFC Films.
Chris was a Co-Producer on Bryan Poyser’s LOVERS OF HATE, which premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Dramatic Competition, and was an Executive Producer on Sean Gallagher's GOOD NIGHT and Paul Gordon's THE HAPPY POET.
Chris is a Partner at REVELATOR, a creative production boutique that has created dozens of award-winning campaigns for both television and the web, for clients such as Samsung, IBM, Capital One, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Google, Dun & Bradstreet and many more.
He was previously a Sundance Institute Creative Producing Fellow, as well as an alum of Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) Narrative Lab Program and the Rotterdam Labs. Chris has lectured at the University of Texas at Austin and has been a mentor at the SXSW Film Conference and IFP Filmmaker Labs.
